How's that lie coverup treating you, boy? Pelosi was in town last weekend promising illegal aliens and their families that they'd be covered in the "health care" bill. You lie, and you're a red-diaper baby! I look forward to 2012, scumbag.

You are absolutely right. My only problem with the stimulus was that it was too small. Although it will take more time, a larger stimulus would have worked quicker and to a much greater impact.

That's where the confusion is my friend. The quality is not better in the U.S. than elsewhere. If anything, it's worse than some of our European counterparts. Give me an hour or so and I will send you a detailed explanation of our system's statistics vs. those in Europe.

But, the quality of health care is better in the US. If you sacrifice quality for quantity, then more deaths will occur because the most innovative treatment won't be available. Is that what you want?

From my experience (a student at a top university), every economics professor I've had except one has supported the stimulus. This includes multiple professors from Harvard, one from Princeton and one who works at the FED who's in an authoritative position, plus many others.Actually what I want is to have hospitals spends less to bring down costs. Many European countries do what is being proposed and they have better healthcare systems than we do.

Can you prove that economists will support that fact? If not, then your argument is sunk.Without medical technology, hospitals will lose innovative ideas and decrease the quality of care which will result in even more deaths. Is that what you want?

Are you saying that you will be FORCED to have medical insurance?

Only 6 million will be in the government run portion the other 30 will be forced to by private insurance or pay a fine. So the private insurance industry will get close to 30 million new costumers if the bill is past as is. Therefore there will be no decrease in any of the above

The Markets are Up and Unemployment has stalled over the last few months the projection was that companies would being to higher in March of next year. Not to mention the Majority of the stimulus money has not gone out. The banks are paying their loans back early. The things he has done are working but it is going to take time the problems did not happen in a year and they will take mare than a year to fix.

First, short-term stimulus has that issue, but not a massive stimulus used to create long-term jobs (like infrastructure). Several countries have used massive stimulus in order to get out of recessions in the past. 90% of economists (probably) will support this fact.Second, it's known under the Physician Workshop model that hospitals overspend on tech. It will cut down on this spending which will not affect jobs in hospitals.

Yes, but stimulus spending only stimulates the economy while the government is handing out money (as seen in Cash for Clunkers). Once this money vanishes so does the stimulated spending. He will lower hospital revenue by attempting to control a government run insurance company which will pay hospitals less than private insurance companies. They will then yield less revenue and be forced to make employment cuts and salary cuts while decreasing the quality of care.

The money put into the economy called stimulus will stimulate spending by reducing unemployment (which is already happening). The more people are employed, the more money that is being spent and the more taxes being collected to pay back the stimulus. Anyone who knows econ. knows that it takes time for the unemployment to lower. It creates GDP. Also, hospitals are mostly non-profit. He will just lower docs. pay and unnecessary spending. If you want a detailed description, let me know.

How is he trying to create growth in the GDP? Since he has been in office the unemployment rate has risen to it's highest point in almost 30 years, he tried passing a bill that would lower hospital revenues, and he implemented a $30 billion program that gave people money to buy cars even though that could not sustain the car market. Yet, this is somehow creating growth in the GDP? Where is you logic?

No offense, but I didn't call you an idiot. In fact, I couldn't agree with you more about Bush. There must be some misunderstanding and if it's my fault, I apologize for it. I believe Bush did have a lot to do with this mess that we are in.

On the contrary my friend. It's all in the timing. If Bush had been in office for another year, it would be the same (if not worse) than it is now. He was just lucky enough to get out of fire before it got bad.

If you look at the related videos section to the right here, you should see a 0:39 clip where it shows his expression, but not in video form.
