yeah I do. I use a Kendo no Kata bokuto that's slightly curved. The kissaki is rounded on the one I use, plus it has a channel in the middle. That's interesting.

Looks like a kashima bokken, kissaki aside, that is. Usually a kissaki like that is found on a aiki or jigen bokken.

Any one else find it odd that his bokuto is straight? and the kissaki on the boken is a straight angle instead of a curve? It looks like a long nin-to bokuto

I wish I'd known about this stuff when i was a child instead of Star Wars which now appears to be a copy of all this. There's nothing like the real thing!

No. :) But in Gorin No Sho he writes about Kenjutsu (his ryu) as about water, wich is right also for other Koryu :)Greetings!

Musashi? Did he mention this ryu in his book?

Yes it is. TSKSR has this unique way of chiburi (though other iai systems use it as well). On this video, I'm surprised I stumbled onto it by accident. Katori is misspelt, and iaijutsu or kenjutsu is not part of the tags, so I only happened upon this video today. Good video though.

I always enjoy watching Katori Shinto Ryu Iaijutsu. Sensei Sugino is amazing person. Also I like very much naginatado so this video is great as for me :)Musashi Miyamoto was right. This kenjutsu looks like water - it's so pure and fluidity.Just great ! 5 stars :)
