Well, the back-formation was pretty damn seamless, so good show. The line in "Army of the Light" referring to emptying Russell's bin—it's all full of tissues!—was a refreshingly indirect way of presenting the same thing while being abundantly clear of EXACTLY what is going on. In fact, I would propose that part of the laugh there is a laugh of appreciation for the audience getting to figure out just what happened, without having to be told. More of that, maybe?

... I think it absolutely has to be there in the show, but there is a bit of a sense for a while in the show that every scene involving Russ is going to end with him pawing off or similar, and we're considering whether this is a prob in terms of distracting the audience from the character stuff. :)

This song, to be honest, was completed about 72 hours before the performance you're watching (so an awesome job by Glen, Marisa and Matt), so it was a very late addition and it was in essence back-formed from the middle section of Mister Fussy, musically (altho of course we always knew, right from May 2007 that there would be a scene here depicting these specific events). The point is well worth considering, and a few people at the reading remarked on the quantity of masturbation...

Was this song developed but unfinished/unperformed in the first version, or was it expanded since then to form this song? And I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek about the comment; it was more about Russell as if he were a person, rather than Russell as a developed character in musical theatre. This second version definitely draws a lot more dramatic attention to the pawing than its corresponding v0.1 scene, but it certainly does portray his evolution (devolution?) toward furry sexuality.

Glad someone spotted that about the music. The main difficulty we've faced here with the over-pawing is that we are chronicling Russ' progressive experiences in sex, and it's kind of hard to portray that without, well, the inevitable ending. If you need fewer orgasms, which ones should be removed?

I'm "suitably" impressed with the development of the theme I heard first in v0.1's "Mister Fussy". Nice job musically...but yes, I agree with kushaba here....And Primrose is spot on in the end. Brilliant.
