i'm from taiwan, and yea there is a different accent, but you can still kinda tell. of course, his accent is still pretty good.

you can tell that he doesn't speak chinese natively cuz it doesnt sound as smooth~just like, if you compare ri in's chinese singing to korean singing,the prononciation may be right, but it just doesn't flow(?) as much~ahaha. but his accent?hmm~ its really good for someone who just learned chinese ^^

No, it sounds quite authentic. I'll be honest though, sung Mandarin is different from spoken Mandarin. While in spoken Mandarin an accent is very easy to detect, when it's sung, it's much harder. The tones "drop out" when you sing, so you'd have to have a HUGE accent for people to tell. But if you listen to the Chinese version of DBSK's "Unforgettable," then you'll hear a bit of his accent.
