I live in Alabama and I can tell you that the fans are all about who has the "look" of an Alabama QB (prep white kid). Of course Andrew Zow was an exception but alot of people here didn't take too kindly to him.

I know that's why MIA drafted him and they were very smart to do so. But like I said, Saban is giving Star Jackson a chance to play the position and he is very much not a QB, but a scrambler and play action passer like you said about Pat. Pat is faster, has a better arm and knows the game alot better than Star and wasn't given a chance. Saban comes in and tries what he wants instead of what "fits". It was really about what the fans wanted with Shula.

if MIA hadn't been looking for a wildcat guy Pat White might not have been drafted at all if he had been it would had been in about the 5th-6th round and he would have been a bench warmer and probably faded away about about 5-6 years of being in & out of free agency. He has talent but no one wants to take a risk on that style of QB.

Pat White isn't a passer Alabama is a Dynasty WVU is not hate to say that... Pat White isn't a franchise QB he is a wildcat scrambler and play action QB in clutch moments.MIA drafted Pat White for one reason their wildcat form so encase you didn't know then THAT... marks him as a certain style of QB that fits into a certain style of offense & Pat White wasn't the right guy for the Tide if he had been they would have picked him up, you got a lot to learn about football if you think that way.

and Star Jackson does? No. It was all Mike Shula. There's no such thing as someone not fitting into an offense. This is Nick Saban giving people a chance to play their position. Obviously Bednarik didn't fit into their offense either, that's why they went and got Pat White. Because Auburn and Alabama both denied him. LSU wanted him to play corner and he didn't want that. Now last year AU started running spread when they could've started with White.

Just one of the many reasons why Pat White will always be a legend in WV. How many other quarterbacks do you know who could (and would) throw a block like that!
