i was watching a documentary on the wtc on the anniversary of sept 11, and two structural engineers explained why people that close to the ground survived. i cant remember exactly what they said but i remember him saying that if you was between the 3rd and the 8th floor, you would of survived, it was something like that anyway, but im sure there will be a reasonable explanation for it somewhere on youtube.
