LS Records, which put out this compilation, was run by Ms. Lane's husband, Lee Stoller, for the purpose of issuing her works. The firm made a lot of money over the years from these mail-order LP's.

Would anyone know at what point Steve Albert replaced Jimmy Myers as "News 9's" sportscaster?

I thought "New York Hot Tracks" ran late Friday nights/early Saturday mornings, right up against NBC's "Friday Night Videos."

I remember seeing commercials for Cristy Lane's "One Day At A Time" album quite frequently around that same time frame (1984-85).

I remember NY Hot Tracks. It aired on Sunday afternoons, I think (on WABC Ch. 7). I saw the following videos for the first time on that show: "Let's Stay Together" by Tina Turner, "Ebony Eyes" by Smokey Robinson and Rick James, "She's Strange" by Cameo, "Lucky Star" by Madonna. Does anyone else remember "Playback 84" that aired sometime during the summer of '84 on WOR Ch. 9? There was also a video show on Ch. 9 that aired Saturday afternoons (I think) and "Hot" was on WNEW Ch. 5 weekdays.

Cristy Lane was wearing the puffy shirt way before Seinfeld.

The commack motor inn is still in operation today. In fact, they have their own website, and pictures of their rooms, including the heart shaped water bed and heart shaped hot tubs.

EEEEEEEEEEEEASY PICKINS! How could I not forget that Grandmaster Flash-inspired jingle! The 9 All Night clip is another fine example of repackaged-for-TV low budget cinema! IMDB says this movie was indeed from the Philippines under the original Filipino title "Kulay dugo ang gabi".

I think it was made in the Philippines. But this film ("The Vampire People" was the title assigned it for TV) had been in WOR-TV's library since at least 1974.
