If when you did it in 92, you used the music from the Gene Wilder film, YOU did it illegally. The version you see on this site is the official licensed by Music Theatre International and the Dahl family, also attended by the author Tim McDonald and his collaborator Leslie Bricusse. IF you did the music-YOU DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHTS. NO rights existed til and after this version-------if you disbelieve me, call Music Theatre International.

On your site it says that this was the first ever release of this show. But I did 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' in about 1992 -- it was the full musical with everything from the original movie. And we had the full rights to it etc. Perhaps another company owned the rights and then dropped them and then MTI got them?
