You know there's a fucking difference between fighting and fighting back for yourself.Learn to stop being a pussy, maybe then you'll understand.

either the kids should learn how to fight, and make him confident that he can fight back, and turn him into a bully, or make him too confident so that he gets his but kicked when he's outnumbered. You know, teaching kids how to fight is going to leave a permanent memory about it, and they'll grow up thinkin that everything is resolved by fighting. "Judge, I'm innocent." "Guilty." "You want a piece of me?" *punch* '5 years!" *punch* "7 years. court dismissed!" YEah, real good strategy.

Face it... some kids are bullies just like their parents and there is nothing anyone can do about it. All bullies eventually grow up, they breed, they make other little bullies. A secretary that I used to work with was a bully as a kid. She was proud of it! She is still a bully and she is ALONE... no one wants to be with her! She has no lover, no friends. Now that's fucking karma :)

If a man in his forties walks up to a coworker in an office building and starts physically and verbally abusing her in a blatant way, people will call the police. Not only that, but the abused one has every right to use whatever means necessary to escape the hostile situation. But when children attack other children, harass them, steal from them and destroy their property - it's all "man up", "boys will be boys" and such nonsense,

Then perhaps your mother should have had the child removed from the school or arrested, because all i see that happened is it made you to afraid to seek justice, yes very "manly." And a child learned to solve problems, like being "told on" with violence. The hard facts are that bullying is underling reasons for things like school shootings, and suicides, not stepping in as a parent could end the life of one, or many.

Being brought up in a Irish family is the main point of why i could punch you just in the right spot and break your cheekbone...That's what you are taught! Its just that simple, and people need to know how to fight, either women against rapist, or kids against big 200 lbs bullies.Stop making our kids wussies...

Your obviously not the sharpest knife, who knows if they will get grounded? Punishment for abuse? Kids will be kids, but when adults get involved your kids get it way worse. Honestly everybody only lives once, and if you cant let your kid take it they will grow up timid, always turning to their parents. I got beat up harder when my mom called the kid that bullied me, but those things help men become men. Unless your childs coming home messed up maybe you should do somthing

Yes, because bullying has never caused harm, oh wait, whats that high suicide rate? There was another school shooting? If your child is being harmed by another child go to the other child's parents, a month of groundings keeps a tongue and hands in check for quite a long time. It also shows that there is punishment for abuse. If a child hits another child punish him before he grows up, does it again and the law has to.

Sadly schools are terrible at handling bullying situations at times. At times they might harm the victim's case more if the bully feigns ignorance or gets agitated and find additonal ways of tormenting the kid. Either the parents keep the bully in check, or the victim will learn how to fight and beat that bully's butt until he gives his lunch money to the victim as a sign of respect.
