I remember WABC using this for years, and I also remember this from "ER Theater." I always loved this intro - brings back great memories. I moved a little further south in New Jersey in 2006, unfortunately out of the range of New York City-area stations, so I never saw the retirement of those intro.Ah, memories! Thanks for posting! :-)

Keep the opening animation... bring back the "Moving Pictures" theme music from the "4:30 Movie" days.

Have they thought of maybe another "themed" ABC7 Theater 2-hour block show? If not "ER," maybe "Hawaii Five-O"? Or "CSI"? Maybe "NYPD Blue," as ABC had the show during its run?A note to anyone here in Buffalo(WKBW market)... you're missing out on great stuff by having paid commercials rather than late movies as they did(and still do) on ABC7 in NYC. Sell WKBW from Granite to Disney, and pronto!

Nothing like the "spinning cameraman" of the 1970s.

For some reason, WABC NY just changed the graphics for this intro. The music is the same, but the graphics are different.

There IS no more "ER THEATER" on WABC/Channel 7, 'Dan', since their contract with Warner Bros. TV to schedule it ended last year. This opening title is still being used on weekends {"THE LATE MOVIE", and occasionally "SATURDAY/SUNDAY AFTERNOON MOVIE" and "THE CHANNEL 7 MOVIE"}, although the master tape is getting a bit worn towards the end of the closing title....

i always loved this opening. you'd usually see this opening on the weekends after midnight i believe. whatever show i was watching, i'd leave it for a few seconds just to watch this opening.

Ever since the WABC 7's Late Movie Ended Around 2000, they still use this Movie Theater graphics for the WABC 7's ER Movie Presentation. It Features the current WABC 7 logo (a ABC logo next to the "7" logo) on the top of the theater, & once we get to the movie screen & curtains open, the current WABC 7 logo followed by "ER Movie" rising up to the screen rather than just shown on display.

I guess this will be the "intro" that brings back memories twenty or thirty years from now, for the young people coming up today.
