Google just helped me out... it was "Megaforce." All this time, I thought it was Chuck Norris in the film. It was Barry Bostwick.

I first came across said Movie stuff after one such Sat Afternoon flick(Saturday after Thanksgiving 88) ended with someone saying this line, "The good guys always win... even in teh 80s."

Nearly three years later, the Saturday Afternoon Movie would use the "Moving Pictures" theme music with a different intro and outro.

Let me add to my prior post... the voiceover guy on the CFTO version is the chief meteorologist for CFTO TV news.

CFTO in Toronto(Channel 9) also used this opening for "The Big Show" weekdays at 4:00 back in the early 1980s. However, they used the "Star Wars" theme as the music for the program.

I.I.N.M., Parker did the evening-to-sign-off shift then. From what I've been apprised, the voice doing the PSA here sounds more like fellow announcing colleague (and ABC staff veteran) Bob Lloyd, whose credits included "Dark Shadows" and the early years of "One Life to Live."

The announcer, WABC-TV's dependable Wally Parker, was live that Saturday afternoon. VERY rare opening for the local "SATURDAY AFTERNOON MOVIE", which continues to be scheduled when there's no sporting events scheduled on the network...

We didn't get this movie open here in Houston. KTRK was also a Cap Cities O & O.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but is that announcer who did that PSA tag at the start, veteran Don Russell?
