If that is the case I would be worried it would be famous for the wrong reasons.

Read "Choosing a Skyline:How intelligently are we recognizing urban context as a feature of environmental responsibility?" by Nicholas J. Slabbert -- it's available online on the "Virtual Adjacency" website. (You can also look it up in the British Library's list of online articles by N.J. Slabbert.)

I agree. The sidewalks in front of the buildings must be 2 meters wide, at most. People aren't going to be able to walk more then two abreast. The spaces aren't well defined. There's no location that provides a sense of enclosure.

Diger videodaki yorumu, elestiri sinirlarini astigi dusuncesi ile kaldirdim.Digerini neden begenmedigini, yayinlanmalarini neden yanlis buldugunu anlayamadim?

Tebrikler

if this project is realized, you'll find the area will become devoid of human activity, uses are not mixed, the area is VERY car-oriented, the is no focal point, there are no setbacks on the buildings, the design is lacking all of the very basic standards of livability! before you go any further I strongly recommend you read Jane Jacobs book "The life and Death of Great American Cities" even though you are not american (nor am I) it is a wealth of knowledge.

yes of course it can be placed like that (if I didn't miss understand u're talkin' about the parkings), there's no specific rule 4 that (as far as I know). But on the other hand, swedeboy1 is right in a logical way. Because 90 deg. parking lots needs more area for cars to turn. This is why, its not functional enough for a parking system near the street. But as I said before, it's not a rule of course :)

hahaha... yep u're right. we only worked at modeling and rendering part of the work. The design owner is another firm, I don't exactly know who worked for the urban design project... But believe me, unfortunately this mistake is so common in Turkey :)))
