i seen the video i also know the kid in real life the only reason why i watched the video is because i saw him in the news paper from your video it looks like police brutality and f.f. saying that hes one of ours and the cop telling him not to tell him how to do his job just makes him look like a power tripping goof but thats how the cops are around here there all douche bags i dont get into trouble like that but i see both sides and see how the cops handle it after and there usually stupid

I dont think cops can keep all sides happy. The incident went from the drunk son pushing the cop twice, the cop trying to cuff the son, the drunk father tries to bum rush the cop he was with, and then they fight like cage wrestlers until they comply. I think the cops kept their composure, did what they had to do, and once the combantants stopped, the cops stopped. I think if we keep taking libertys away from the cops, we will have cops with no more power than a security guard.

He swings at him the first time just missing him, the second one hit him. After that he stopped restisting. The kid would not stop fighting, they were doing that to get him to submit. I at first thought the bald cop with the batton was an ass for running in like a crazed cop. After i let my emotions subside, i realized that he was rescuing his fellow officers. He kind of check swings at the first guy, and by the look of it, i think he only hit the father in the back only once. The officer stopped with the botton immediately after the combative father stopped fighting. I can definately understand your point though.

i understand what you are saying. in some cases it is justifiable to restrain someone who is resisting arrest but not enough to almost send another officer thru a plate glass window nor to threaten those that say umm hey ur going to far.regardless of whether these men started it or resisted arrest - we dont need some overgrown cop with a baton to start bashing people and threatening others because of said bashing. time our cops set a proper example don't u think?!? we would go to jail for less.

The fight started with the son pushing a cop twice. At the trial on 4/21/08 their attorney is trying to dismiss multiple witness claims that the son started it, but stating that the cops came in like "hells angels with batons". Where i come from, if you were to put your hands on a cop, then expect to get cuffed, and if you fight, then you get arrested. Nothing a cop says to you can ever give you the right to lay hands on a cop. The two have admitted that they were drinking prior to the fight

whats not justifiable is hitting someone with such force while trying to restrain him, enough force 2 send the cop holding the suspect backwards. i watched it several times 2 b sure. and the obvious warnings to those firefighters who said anything - 3 times - once with his baton and 2 other times pointing his finger.

i thought so at first, then i realized that he runs in, thinks about swinging at the first guy, pulls back and then goes and helps the cop in the back, who almost gets put through the plate glass window. I think he only wacks the guy once, although it seems like he takes 2 swings at the guy. After the bald guy submits, he knees him to keep him down. Ps. thanks for seeing the humor in my last post ;)
