I've tried a lot of stuff and i'm interested in trying some of the dieting stuff that ratman506 suggested to prevent the outbreaks... As far as when I have the outbreaks I am still going to stick with my vygone. that seams to work the best for me.

A lot of people that have herpes don't have recurring outbreaks... I have not tried to cut out nuts but i'll give it a go. As far as lysine that stuff didn't do anything for me.

I tested positive for genital herpes 25 years ago. About a year after I was diagnosed, a lady doctor told me she too has herpes. She said to take a lysine tablet every day and avoid....caffiene, poultry, diary products, nuts and seeds. I discovered that all I need to do is avoid nuts and seeds. I dont even need lysine. I have had no symptoms for 24 years.

I have the Herpes Simplex Virus on my lips. I find that I get cold sores when I'm stressed so I've made a lot of positive health choices to improve my health and I've had a reduction in outbreaks.
