Notice that in TJW, when someone won, Jack would pass out the money from his jacket pocket. Wink never did so on TTD, until this "Find the Dragon" game.

LOL now that's funny when a contestant picks the dragon, they lose. when a audience member picks a dragon, they win money.

To answer your question hdayejr, the year of this video was 1983, if you seen this episode on USA Network, you may've recorded this episode GSN's airing of this fall 1983 episode was better in tape quality.

I was 17 in 1980, and the Dragon may have scared me the first time, but I laughed when they got the dragon. I used to aggravate my mother by making the roaring sound out loud, lol.

Two things...I grew up during the TTD/TJW era, and the dragon (which was an Apple II drawing) did not scare me. It was Devil from TJW that scared the shit out of me until I was in second grade and realized that it was only just a cartoon drawing on a projector slide.

Well, I had a dream about the dragon jumping out of the screen and out of my TV, chasing me to my bedroom. I woke up, and it was somebody who got the devil instead............

I know what you mean. As a kid, that used to scare the shit outta me when they zoomed in & it was the dragon. Sometimes I was so scared, I looked away when they zoomed in, LOL!

I used to watch TTD back when I was in Kindergarten, the bonus round dragon scared the crap out of me. Never mind the fact that it was crude Atari pixels. The camera always zoomed in on the number chosen, and you NEVER see that bastard coming, making the Bonus Round Dragon the equivalent of the living room flash prank.

Same here, I also know that if he's behind #5 (the center box), then TIC & TAC are behind 8 & 9.

The 1990's pre-rapping dragon sounded more like Godzilla. The 1984-86 sound was more realistic, but the pre-1984 sound IS THE CLASSIC.

I am with you on that one. He was frequenly behind 6 and if i was playing the bonus round the other number i would avoid is 9
