one thing I always thought was cool about this version was the fact the contestants used lock-ins to stop the shuffling in the main game and bonus round, this way the player determines their own fate in the game as well as answering questions.

I just hope by now, Kyle, that I get to announce at least for one project! I'm thinking of putting on a pitch video here.

"We've made several changes and I know you're gonna like them". Incorrect Patrick, circle gets the square! And I always detested the "red" categories, even going back to Wink's show. The Secret Category, or Bonus Category, the one that doubled the pot was ok, but other than that, just too dreadful. They complicated the game too much. Wheel of Fortune has done that too, with too many bells & whistles anymore. But even Jim Caldwell's TTD soars high compared to this dreadful hideous mire.

This, along with the 1990 revival of "The Joker's Wild" was the beginning of the modern decline of tv game shows. This version was beyond awful. The podiums, the gameboard, the "rappin'" dragon, the dragon slayer, wiping out pots after tie games, the host, the horrid theme music, Henry Mancini must have been tone deaf when he created this crap. Even the announcer stunk. Just awful. Watching replacement players in the NFL back in 1987 was far superior to this dreck. May it rest in pieces...

Daniel Swartz appeared two years later on Jeopardy! with Jerome Vered's 5th and final game.

I would say i'm rather enjoying the episode. Daniel and Aaron look like tough competitors who will stand at nothing to win; both very smart and have great careers. PAtrick is good for now but we will see how he does a month from now. I would say that nothing is bad with erasing the pot but the only flaw is thatt a contestant could win the next game early and get only $4000 instead of seven or eight thousand dollars. It will be exciting I know it.

I agree with PW sucking, but the show didn't. I think Wink would've made it better.

And there's probably no limit to the ties. If it were in the same amount of games as Thom McKee's $36,800 pot win, the final pot in this version would theoretically be $80,000 (if all 9 squares are X'd or O'd).
