"Death in Venice" is one of the best novels ever written. Good choice with "Sound of silence". Thank you uploading these pictures, indeed!

Vielleicht Germanisten!

In America, a culture almost entirely devoid of ideas, it's wonderful to have this great writer's legacy and repertory to counter the dull march toward conformist death that the typical American is pursuing. His writing is especially now more relevant than ever, though the feminization of our culture would negate creative genius and replace it with tepid humanism: "Everybody is equal". Well, we've seen the disaster of this formula. Without the austere peak of the lonely climber, nothingness.

Thanks for doing this, 17-year-old from Turkey! I am glad that you are a fellow appreciator of Mann. What is your favorite work of his?
