@bertnernie, your quoting the Bible and praising a fraud named Joseph Smith is all the Mockery you will ever need to end up in HELL. I feel sorry for you. Read the Bible and NOT the fake book of mormon that will lead you to Satan. Have a good day also..fool..

spin? with that statement you make a mockery of Christ himself. there was no miracle he performed, no blind to be seen, no leaperd healed, no deaf to hear, no dumb to speak without there first being faith of that person. this is my last post, have a good day "if thou hast faith, thou canst be healed"

@bertnernie, ahh yes the good old spin. But yet there are thousands of documents for the Bible, and REAL cities where Christ actually lived and Roman records of his birth. I guess the God of the Book of Fraud Mormon has removed all evidence to prove...umm...nothing..lol get a clue bert...

@bertnernie, you talk like a brainwashed robot. I feel sorry for you. If the BoM is true, then please show the world ONE ancient document from the Americas to back it up. Show me ONE artifact that backs up the BoM found here in the Americas pre-Columbia. Yes that is correct there is NONE. Joseph Smith was a con-man.

He has a body of flesh and bones tangible as man's, glorified and perfected. I know that as you sincerely learn of His gospel with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ you may know (or perhaps know once more) that it is true. My intent is not to bash or to quarrel with you but to defend the truth wherever it is attacked. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

If you believe in Christ you will believe in the Book of Mormon and all that it implies to be true. For it is a record that testifies of Christ, that is its sole purpose. If you believe in Christ why would you reject such a record? Would you not want to continue feasting upon His teachings and further your understanding of His gospel? I know that The Book of Mormon is true, I know that Christ is the Savior, Heavenly Father loves and cares for me and you and everyone on Earth and knows us by name

, The Pearl of Great Price and also the testimony of modern day prophets and Apostles. You have your word, only your word. Have you received a witness from the Holy Spirit that these things are not true? I say that you have not. For the Holy Spirit testifies to the humble heart that they are true. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of the Lord. Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on the Earth today. Where is the proof of your words contrary? You have none.

I know that the Prophet and Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are called of God. Under the direction of Jesus Christ they run His church. They are men of God and I love them. I ask only how your claims will change this church from growing to all the ends of the Earth, preparing Christ for His millenial reign. And I answer it changes nothing. We have the testimony of ancient prophets from the Old Testament, New Testament, The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants

@Stormin History makes it clear that there was an apostasy.?? Is that so? Please do show your intellect on that by provide proof for YOUR claim. I guess from YOUR stand point that would make Jesus a failure. And according to the LDS book of Mormon Jesus failed again to retain that church here in America? Wow...that makes Jesus a two time loser...So sad..indeed.

@Storm, great the way you can quote from an so called LDS fake apostle one day and then dismiss a quote another day. You are a true mormon. You will fit right in. Never to say anything credible, always spinning the ever such web of cow manure...bravo..

Oh, and again, such a doctrine was never taught by the Church leadership and proclaimed as doctrine. It would have had to be agreed upon by the Prophet and all the apostles, accepted by a unanimous vote as doctrine. It would be taught openly to the membership. But it isn't because it isn't declared as doctrine!

Theosis or exaltation is biblically supported and was believed by some of the earliest Christians. The idea of heavenly parents is not a novel one, just look at Jewish thought on henotheism and God having a wife. The nature of Christ as taught by the creeds of the day is not to be found in the Bible. We all believe in Christ, there is only one Christ, but we have different concepts of who He was, what He taught.

According to the Bible, prophets are not perfect, can have opinions ( many of the OT prophets had some interesting views on astronomy that would be looked down upon today, doesn't make them false prophets), and they were subject unto like passions as us, as it teaches in the New Testament. According to the Bible, the Christian church is to have a foundation of apostles and prophets, priesthood authority, and revelation through the Holy Spirit. History makes it clear that there was an apostasy.

The teaching that Jesus Christ is married is no longer taught by the Mormon church. But the concept is still consistent with the teaching of the Mormon church that a man now living must be married to progress and become a god. The only reasonable conclusion: The "Jesus Christ" of the Mormon church is not the same as found in the Bible. Gal. 1:6-9 warns us about those that bring another gospel. It also says that those that do are accursed. 2 Cor. 11:4 warms us of those that bring another Jesus.

Really? According to the God of the Bible, it makes them false prophets and apostles. Makes you a liar, too. "..voice there opinions on Christ and marriage". LOL! But you are correct on your statement that they are not authoritative or scripturally supportive! On that we agree

So a few members of the GAs voice their opinions on Christ and marriage. Doesn't make them authoritative, or scripturally supportive! The single statement of a member or GA does not make such a statement doctrine of the Church. That is a sweeping generality you are making.

@StorminMormin91 Really? Apostle Orson Hyde: "I said in my last lecture..that Jesus Christ was married at Cana of Galilee, that Mary, Marhta, and others were his wives, and that he begat Children. If Jesus begat children, he only did that which he had seen his Father do." Orson Pratt: "The founder of the Christian religion, was a polygamist..The messiah chose to ..by marrying many honorable wives himself, show to all future generations that he apporbated the plurality of wives." I quote LDS!
