it shows you don't watch the show. If you did you would know that the character that delivers this speech is a devote Christian. The show does not have a negative view of Christianity, only those that use it as a justification for their own prejudices. For President Bartlett Chrisitanity gives strength and compassion, but doesn't blind him to thoughtlessly follow instructions without using his reason.
