As a Brit, I'll apologise on deppjj2000's incorrect remarks. American actors are amazing. One word: RENT!

oh man I just got back from NYC last night to see Lion King for first time, it was so awesome! I mean I grew up with the movie, but the broadway version is out of this world! YOU GOTTA SEE IT IN NEW YORK CITY :) I loved the costumes, and the scene changes and the light effects. Especially Circle of Life and all the songs! oh yeah and the finale battle with Simba vs Scar I loved it! I cried when they did desert stampie part. Dude I got a photo with King Mafasa (Nathaniel Stampley) No joke!

I've seen both Broadway and West End versions and the British is much, much better. British actors always give a sense of authenticity and realism. Americans, well, they're Americans quite simply, fake.I enjoyed the Broadway version aswell though, don't get me wrong. Curtains and Phantom were fantastic, but for authenticity and atmosphere you cannot beat London.

the young simba in here..seems to be a good actor..the one i went to see in london was downright OBNOXIOUS..he cant act and was smiling all along..even when mufasa died..he had a strong british accent and was even singing 'I just cant wait to be king' in a british accent and it just ruined it for me..
