Just because you like this version better, doesn't mean it is superior. Everyone has their own opinions. You can't "ruin" a song. You can make it more enjoyable for people with different music tastes, though.

Deep lyrics or if you will sad lyrics combined with happy music. This type of composing goes way back in music history. Blues, country, gospels are just a few examples. The Knife transformed this type of approach in todays electronic music. Good idea. Good realization. P.S. Nice video, and Gonzalez version is also great. There is nothing that could distort this beatiful tune. Thanks for posting.
