My god this kid must have been so scared! I mean how many untrained assholes does it take to kill a kid. Yeah the officers were there to for hard love; but this is insane. Could they not see his pain or distress. My heart goes out to his family. Wether or not they knew of his condition is irrelevant. The kids best interest should have been in mind. I would have never accepted a settlement on this. I would have fought it till the end!

Watching this video really makes me change my opinion. You don't really see the guards beating the crap out of him, but it's apparent the boy needs help and they aren't giving it to him. My husband has sickle cell trait and he passed out at Air Force boot camp. That's just from the trait. They should test people for this disease before making them do such physical labor. And I agree, it doesn't take that many guards for a fourteen year old kid.
