And I think that the "real meaning" that you referred... it´s actually our personal interpretation of it... This is the kind of movie whose interpretation may be different from person to person ... It´s filled with symbolism, and it´s really deep and meaningful... but totally not easy to like or understand (at least at the first sight). :) Really unusual film indeed.

I think the real meaning of this film is that we have to accept death, because its not a bad thing we have to afraid of, its a beginning of a new life.When he dies the Tree of Life break out into blossoms.And yes, this film is unusual.

The great thing about The Fountain is that people can take what they want from it - I reckon I 'got it' but what I think it was about will likely be different than a lot of you out there. That's intelligent film making. we can all agree the visuals were amazing, especially the space scenes though. Jackman is oscar worthy too, so's this score!

he wanted too much so she had to die. i think this movie is also about the search for perfection, we may reach it in the future.. or never cuz humans make mistakes

OK , the book was better but Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz made this movie look fantastic Plus great visual effects.Everyone must see it!

i felt the same way about requiem.. just painful.. one movie that actually hit me hard.. way too realistic for me.. the fountain was just the right amount of real.. hit me just like i wanted it to..
