I understand what you are saying. Yet, I have come to a point in my son's life, that I no longer ask for a reason. Only acceptance. For if he was no longer on the autism spectrum, if someone could make it just go away. Then that would mean a part of my son would be lost forever too. I am not willing to part with any of his heart, personality, soul, life. For that is him. I couldn't ask for a more perfect child even if the outside world has a different view than I on what perfect is.

Perhaps never asked for an explanation? That look is a look we all know. We have ALL seen it. We all are there. It is nothing new...At least since I was a kid...We are only now asking for reasons...
