I am a single father of a 4 year old autistic child who is my entire life. Well, today I let an employee w/ a bad attitude go and following that, this person said the most insulting (and disgusting) thing I have ever heard. This sicko pointed reference to "my stupid autistic daughter!" Going to see who would like this person's contact info so perhaps she can hear from other parents and those who are affected by with autism how they feel about comments such as this?

my brother who passed away at 19 was on the low end of the spectrum - only ever spoke a few words - needed assistance with the bathroom (never went #2 in the toilet!) had extremely violent outburst and obsessive compulsive behavior (took more than 6 baths a day and always wanted to go on never-ending car rides) I am always frustrated when I mostly see the picture being painted of autism is truly what is called aspergers - to this day I do not feel that a true picture is being painted of autism

Thank you for sharing this video of your son :-)

When I watched your video I was taken aback by the "stacking" as it isn't my autistic son who "stacked" things but my other son....who isn't autistic....but is extremely gifted and intelligent....interesting..makes me wonder if there IS something genetic going on...btw my brother has aspergers....mmm.....thanks for sharing your video with the world....your son is darling...hope all is well with you...autism mom in san diego

I am so used to feeling sorry for people that have to put up with others who have mental problems, but after seeing this video I can't help but think you're lucky. He just seems like such a lovely kid!My perception of autistic people has changed thanks to this really nice video.

Also, to seb6leal, vidbyvid and others who do not understand what autism is, it is a pervasive developmental disorder which is usually quite obvious from a young age. There are different levels of autism, but parents normally suspect that something is not quite right when their children do not develop language and communication skills when their peers do. Autistic children also tend to be obsessed with things or engage in repetitive behaviours like how Quinn appears to love stacking things. So
