yeah im a 14 year old from denver colorado every summer i go to my grandparents house in st. augustine florida to surf and body board i have done this the last three years and i say if you really love surfing then dont stop people will call you names and tell you downgradeing things about your surfing style but who cares! you've only got one life so you might as well do what you love instead of worrying about what people think.

I live in front of a beach in Brazil.And I always have friends starting to surf even now in the university.Good luck and while you cant surf on beach, try snowboard, sandboard, skateboard, all of those are cool, and if you are good on them, once you get a board, you will be good on surf too very soon.Ahhh if you live near a lake, try skimboard ;)
