And remove the lethal chemicals from the battery. And clean up the tyre plant, foundry, plactic factory, open cast mines, oil wells (for the lubricants), shipyards, lorries, (things need delivering), scrap yards, concrete plants, tarmac plants, etc. if you want roads to drive on. Bit of a list really. Maybe get a horse?

this will solve a part of the problem. if we make the cars green, then we will only need to make power statoins clean too.

but its a good beginning to fight against pollution because a power station doesn't drive around like cars with combustion engine. so you have no smog in the city , all the pollution is concentrating on the area around the power station and its better to filter waste gases with a immobil installation. I think its good

Nice to have all the pollution at the factory and the power station, so the greenies can be deluded into thinking they're saving the planet.

--battery-- is the only problem that is holding the EV revolution back, the Tesla car battery is like $10000, so you get the picture, everything else in the electric car is cheap including the motor, way cheaper then any gasoline motor, the EV motor has much better torque and pretty much all other key parameters

1 problem: how much does this cost?If it weren't for costs, everyone would have this car.

I dont rate Ferrari. The exteriors are done by other designers as is the interior. You will get 20,000 miles out of a clutch. They contain overly complicated gearboxes, needlessly loud (although fun for 10 minutes), uninsurable cars for people that cannot afford a Lamborghini. A ten year old Ferrari is not fast, and will break down a lot!

But i would scrifice less mileage for interior luxury. I mean 200 miles is enough to go to malls, other cities and back with a charge 2 cents a mile, redline 13000, peacful quiet, auto stop as u back up, back up camera, night vision, lane departure assist, voice activation, push start button, no wood used, if so just very little a thin strip on plastic like today, no wood chairs tables homes, aluminum brushed interior, air filtration, all the technology adds 100 lbs subtract 40 miles.

I am sorry, I am comparing the elctric battery power to the gasoline tank of cars today. 250 miles is a great achievement it is. 0-60 in 3.9 seconds! 250 horsepower! It really is, and 240 miles is enough to take you here and there. And stations will be electric and fuel cell for emergency few in every city. If you want to travel far, you fly or buy electric and fuel cell!!!! And you fly with clean fuel cells.

if it LOOKS pretty inside and out, and doesnt pollute, its US and me. All the technology isnt heavy is it? Why cant the Tesla be like a Lexus inside? how heavy is a center console and dash. 20 lbs more = 5 miles less, it adds up you can say but i dont mind a 215 mile electric car with an interior of a Lexus. Takes me to stockton and back in interior style. Conservative Americans take it too far in terms of simplicity. My thinking, is very high and higher than all people. As long as....

good sounding speakers, clean and smooth and luxurious interior without wasteful heavy materials, sporty or luxurious steering wheel. Hear me, why do you have to build an ugly hybrid car? why cant hybrids be good looking. The tesla roadster dont look bad at all. Build me the perfect car! Bring her to me! The perfect car is all electric with a 350 mile range and beautiful inside and out. If it looks expensive,

and yadda yadda to come up with the technology and they are doing so. All it takes is the battery and the electric motor. Axles and chasis are light aluminum, although heavy for electric. The lesser the weight, the longer the distance. All we need is, Air conditioning cold/hot, navigational screen with internet, power windows, power sears will be nice but it taked up the battery, electricronic power steering, leather seats,

that can travel. And it is ok for us to sacrifice some things to make earth a clean and healthy place to live. Many may complain. 40% of cars will be all electric for work or everyday commute (150 miles per charge), 40 % are electric and clean fuel cell for everyday and travel (300 mile range), and 20 percent are all fuel cells such as heavy duty trucks, buses, planes, etc. People will follow along, and it is up to leaders to talk to automakers

companies in America, Japan, and Europe should be producing less expensive electric cars. Tesla is a small start up company putting out 55 million of its own money, therefore they have to profit somehow or sacrifice. Back to travelling, 2 hrs for 100miles on electric, then takes 2 hrs running on fuel cell to charge the battery for another 100 on electric. I think it is not impossible to build an electric car that can go 200 miles on electric, and 100 miles on clean fuel cell. The everyday car

It is great that electric cars are powerfuel and quick, so lets give Tesla and other electric cars great appreciation for being performance and clean vehicles. I do feel that the future should and must be electric and clean fuel cells. All electric is the extreme. Other auto makers should be able to produce cars that runs the first 100 miles on electricity, then uses fuel cell to charge the battery, and then switching back to electrcity for another 100 "as you drive". Mass produced cars by big

You're fighting a battle you can't win! To anyone who's known someone who's been dumb enough to own a Ferrari they are expensive Italian rubbish. $15,000 to replace a clutch LOL. They're only good for parking in a garage! You're crapping on about top speed, where on earth is a car capable of 230mph needed? You'll be arrested for dangerous driving over 100mph. The FACT is it takes over 3X as much horsepower in a Ferrari to equal a fast EV and 40 - 70x the cost per 100km to drive it.
