It used to be possible to get a 62 stock up to 60mph downhill from Epping into Theydon Bois which was probably 20mph more than they were supposed to be doing.The track was not in good condition & it was a rough ride!

Not any more, they are now restricted to 50mph due to cracking bogies. The 92's on the Central are now are the fastest with a 100kmh (about 62mph) Maximum Safe Speed.
