The woman's name is Natalya Medvedeva, a Russian born model. She died in 2003 of an apparent heart attack - only 44 years old.

the list of favorite Cars songs for me is really long, but this song - like so many from their debut album - is at the top for sure. it takes me back to a way simpler time in life and saddens me when I think of Ben being gone. this song really moves me.

The song just doesn't seem right without "It's all Mixed Up" following it.

You may want to look at the question that was asked. Your response shows you may have overlooked the point.

Ypu hit on "On the head!" Your PM was exactly what I was talking about. Some of the notes are the same. It is uncanny. It shows how influental GREAT groups can be and how GREAT music can be "Passed on." Your mind certainly was open. You are the only person to hear it. Good for you! Glad you are paying attention. Your music appreciation shows. :)For anyone else: 8:19 is the key.

Have you ever heard of the acronym RTMFQ? It means "Read the Mother F'in Question". The question did not in any way ask "Who was better" or "Who had a greater impact on the music industry", r1skate just asked "What is similar?" Try thinking before responding, you may advance further in life if you practice this advice.

Ah, I see where you're coming from. The sax solo at the end of this Cars song is very similar to the main sax riff used in "Harden My Heart" by Quarterflash.

So true. It's really cool how The Cars mixed these two songs in the studio so that they seem like one. Similar in some ways to how people think Led Zeppelin's Heartbreaker / Living Loving Maid is one song when it's really two.
