talk of the town is a pretenders song. but thats still cool as it keeps the cars/pretenders cleveland/akron connection vibe.

I am going to see outragous The Cars tribute band, Talk Of The Town on Fri Dec 5. They are playing at Sundance in Rocky Point,Long islandNY. Thats 60 mile drive from Manhattan(90mns). The Police tribute band Invisible Sun is also on the bill. This is the best music.

Aside from their great music, The Cars meant this to me: Cool style and hot ass chicks. The amount of poon these guys must have conquered would to be staggering to the average guy. Good for them I say. In an era of George Michaels', Boy Georges' and many other fems......these dudes keep the flag raised.

I always thought Ben Orr sang lead on this one. Haha after seeing this video I obviously was wrong. Also, it took me forever to figure out why I couldn't follow along with the verses: the drums and bass are in 5/4, while the vocals and keyboards are in 4/4.

the cars had the same produucer as queen, if that helps. that said a little brian may never hurt anybody, this solo is tops.

Hmmm... that first guitar solo has a familiar flavor to it -- and that flavor is BRIAN MAY!Or is that just my ears playing tricks on me?(I know it's not Brian playing it, the style just sounds a lot like him.)

I can't figure out for the life of me why you got 4 thumbs down just for saying something like that - it just happens to be true! People are over sensitive assholes sometimes!
