I love the "head shake" that you see Ric do frequently (here seen at the beginning). At first glance you might think it's because he's upset with the sound, or something. But that's not it. It's really a "I'm-so-into-this-music" ("in the moment") head shake. That's how cool Ric is. :)

Thanks for posting Panorama has been one of my fave albums for nearly 30 years. Does anyone know if Ric's Dean guitar is a Caddy or an Elite?Elliot's playing a Fender Lead (I?) guitar that he uses on several songs on the Panorama tour.

I remember being totally perplexed when I first bought and listened to "Panorama" when it first came out. After a while it really grew on me and I realized what a work of dangerous genius it was and is. This was the peak of their creativity. "The Cars", "Candy-O" and "Panorama" are the three "must haves". Too bad this album didn't get the recognition it deserved. "Shake it Up" came next and was an obvious attempt to go more "pop".

The Panorama album has been my favorite by The Cars since it came out. I have tried for years to get people to agree, but they just don't get it. Glad to find folks who do...

I agree with dbkparm and deteviano- I have a renewed appreciation for *Panorama*, and wished that the Cars had kept to the more "edgier" musical style that this album had.

Haha I remember watching this on TV back in 1980 and we all thought the keyboardist looked like some mutant radio shack employed geek freak being all technical with his 5 keyboards. I am sure he is (was) a great musician but funny looking!

Although this swerves away from popular opinion, I believe this album "Panorama" was when The Cars were at the top of their game. Thanks for posting this video.
