This was the final time they performed together outside, on a roof, in front of people, during the day, wearing coats and/or jackets, with the wind blowing, with clouds in the sky, and with Paul sporting a beard. Or I could just boil it all down to this was the final time they performed together and 99.9% of people with an IQ greater than that of a box of rocks would comprehend what I meant, as I'm sure you did. If arguing semantics makes you feel better or superior, by all means, carry on.

Getting together in a studio isn't referred to as recording. When someone is they're capturing data to a stored medium-Such as a 4-Track, or Compact Drive-is recording. When they're just playing their music as a band to a group, a couple people, or just one person; they're performing. Performances can take place anywhere. Whether or not said performance was public. The Beatles performed their songs (as a band) to Mr. Martin many a time during the Abbey Road sessions.

Getting together in a studio is referred to as recording. Performing is something that is done in front of an audience. If anyone who knew that they were recording at their Apple headquarters went out on the street and told a passing fan that the Beatles were performing that day said fan would undoubtedly expect that they would be able to buy a ticket for the performance.

No it wasn't. Let it Be was recorded before Abbey Road. That was the last time the performed together. This was just the last time they performed for an audience.

When was this done? They very rarely performed together as a band after '66 - this is a great clip - still a rock n' roll band!
