peh, £2500 worth of crap, buy yourself a tanglewood and you will see what I mean. My epiphone standard sounds better than my gibson, and Taylor? I will never buy one, anyone tried side by side a good epiphone, tanglewood and a Taylor?

maybe the wood age affect the tone, cause my 714ce is 1 year older than the 814 model. honestly i like the sound of the 714ce for now..

In blind tests people say the 314ce has better tone then the 814ce. And the back and sides of the 314 aren't rosewood =)

on this video i cant hardly tell the diff between the 714 and the 814. love them both.. some most important things for a guitar to sound good is to properly clean the strings put them in TUNE all the time.

814 is better..they use higher grade rosewood.. that being said.. most wouldnt hear the tonal differance and both are great, great guitars

I would suggest looking at a Taylor 414. The 414 has ovangkol back and sides which i feel to be a mix between mohogandy and rosewood. It is not quite as nice as either of these guitars, however for the $1899 414 is a supurb guitar and is the best value your going to find under $2000. As for the cheaper guitars for your friends, I would suggest checking out the lower end taylors or the Seagull guitar line. They have quality solid wood guitars that won't break the bank.

I dont want to sound negative on this guy cause he did fine by all means and I love the guitar man Im looking into buying a taylor thats why I watched but what hes playing here is not too complicated.Have you played any of the 3 series man Im looking at the 314ce and 315ce I personally dont want to spend more then 2K. Im looking for one under 2k and then 2 guitars under 500 to buy for 2 friends that sound decent for beginners, I play myself I just want to hear your input

Thank you so much. I had no idea the 714 kicked the 814's ass that bad. Really, dude you kept me from making a $2,800 mistake.
