Technically, the paper wasn't the antagonist. It was the *messenger* of the antagonist; the curse itself.

I watched it and I couldn't sleep for a week XD (yeah I know, I know)The scene that REALLY stuck in my head was when the guy recorded is life who had the same curse as the protoganist did and he ended becoming like a zombie or something...

By any chance, do you happened to know the ending theme of Premonition? I have been looking for it for the longest time, and I've yet come to nothing. x_x

sounds like this old TV show I used to watch as a little girl. This guy get this newspaper every morning and there's all this bad news and he has to save these people before tragity strikes! I don't remember what it was called or what happened to the show, but it was enjoyable.

All of you may disagree, but Tubemansi is right. "Premonition" at times looks a little bit too much like the American "Twilight Zone" series. There is no ghost involved in this movie, but a curse. The curse infects everybody and people soon die. Nonetheless, "Premonition" was an excellent movie! It had many scenes that were interesting, funny, mysterious, and scary; especially SCARY. The scene where the husband confronts th faceless ghost made me scream!

And the American movie is slightly better. Both of them being kinda' okay. There are plenty of creepy/good parts in J-Premonition to be sure. But when it comes right down to it......A PIECE OF PAPER! That's the evil antagonist in this "horror" movie! A MOTHER******* PIECE OF PAPER!!! I'm sorry, but someone needs to explain to me how in the Jigoku I am supposed to be terrified of a filthy moth-eaten slip of newspaper that appears out of nowhere! That's a practical-joke, not a horror entity!

The American movie, Premonition, is almost nothing like the J-horror movie, Premonition.

He didn't say if it was or not so I'm teeling you just incase. It's not a remake of the j-horror, they mentioned it wasn't on an article I was reading about it.

I watched this movie last week... I give it 1.5/10. Boring, incredibly low-budget, was so bad it was sometimes funny. Would rather have watched an 80s straight to video horror.

I knew I recognized the art in that book at the end. Yay for Boogiepop!I hope they do release the other three from that series soon. They've got me hooked with what they've made so far.
