Being from SA, it isn't as dangerous as you may think. the areas where the stadiums are being built are in relatively low crime ares. Besides, the security throughout the World Cup is going to be extremely high, nothing to keep soccer fans away from this beautiful country.

As a Security Consultant, I would strongly suggest keeping away from SA during the World Cup. If you are, going to matches, stay in groups and arm yourselves. Opposing fans will not be a problem, although falling victim to indigenous Negro criminals is a massive risk
