That happened in my highschool game. They called interference on the batter. just the way it is.

The batter didn't even have time to get out of the way before the catcher nailed her in the back of the head. It was kind of funny though to see that catcher lumber back to the dugout.

it shouldnt have been called a dead ball in that play becuase the batter was in the base line so she was in the catchers way.

it should have been called a dead ball, the batter wasnt in the catcher way, the catcher was the dumb ass who can't throw no way the runner should be called out

That's happened to me like three times. I bat lefty so it's kind of understandable, but still extremely annoying. Can't tell you how many times a catcher has thrown straight into my bat too.

The batter is called out. Watch the ump and the batter's reaction at the end of the video

It's not batters interference. What's the box called? "Batters Box". If she stepped out of the box and was hit, then it would be interference. Until then the runners can advance all they want.

the reason is because its batters interference...look at that catcher...she was throwing right at second and the reason the batter got hit is because she was in the catchers way...sorry just the rule...therefore its interference on the batter and dead ball

in either usssa or asa regulation the batter should be out. and dead ball should be called. the runners shouldn't be able to score.I have no idea why. it's a really stupid rule, but it's happened to me b4 when i was batting.

That sucks. Same thing happened to one of my teammates a few weekends ago, but she was actually in the box, so the steal counted.
