A Phoenix is a legendary born of Fire. According to Legend, only one Phoenix exists at a time, and they can live for up to 500 years. Once the bird nears the end of it's life, it bursts into flames. Once the fires go out, a new baby Phoenix rises from the ashes of the previous one.

There is no actual phrase for it. But he is asking who's ashes have sparked inspiration in you? As one phoenix dies so another can live, that is what he is referring to.

Thank you for explaining it to me. And what does it mean when I say someone is my phoenix?

A phoenix is a mythical bird that grows, then bursts into flame and dies. Then, there is an egg left in its ashes from which a new phoenix hatches. Thus the cycle continues with phoenixes continuing to hatch, grow, die, and then go through rebirth in the next egg that is born from its ashes.

It is a bird of fire.like the drawing here. It's not actually real. But it is usually a bird of fire.

What is phoenix? I've searched it and didn't find a proper explanation. English isn't my native language.
