He said that music saved his life. When he was 10, living in the 'favela', he was a big influence to his brothers and was really worried about it. Michael Jackson inspired him and he felt that it could be possible to express himself in a similar way (in my interpretation, it was when M.J. went to Rio to record a clip). He started practicing music with 20y and was leaving as a homeless. It was difficult and he is glad to the music, "is something divine".
