apes sind menschenaffen (schimpansen, orang- utans, usw.) und monkeys sind ,,normale'' (=D) affen, wie paviane, meerkatzen, usw. ;-)

To religious nut jobs- evolution theory doesnt exclude a creator god, it excludes the idea that we were put on earth as we are now.

I know you're making a joke, but for the sake of those who read your comment and don't understand evolution:Chimpanzees are not any human's ancestors. They are more like our cousins, since humans and chimps diverged a few million years ago. So no, these aren't Bush's ancestors, but they do resemble the ancestors of ALL humans.

@TheJoemm funny thing, when i found out that they did this, i was also told the reason. humans destroying their habitat. that become cannibals to survive. generally sepearate groups of great apes mix quite well though, even sharing the tools and techniques. they'd been fine i we didnt interfere.

You do, however, see the characteristics that could lead to slavery and geneocide in apes. There not all peaceful with each other and are known to engage in warfare

An ape is a primate that doesn't have a tail. since humans are primates and we don't have tails, we're apes.

Please, tell me how we differ from other apes in a biological sense (the sense that would matter to someone classifying animals) that would prove us radically different despite our genomes being nearly identical.

I believe it has to do with size and lack of tail.
