Great video! Systema's a really brutal martial art. The only thing is, the music for this video couldn't have been more gay. For a martial art as brutal as systema, you should use metal for every video you do. Not pop/punk emo stuff.

Ive seen that video too - you hear the dull thud of the pad being hit; he uses a sytema punch and you hear the steel bar ringing as it vibrates through out his house!

as kansasforlife (my friend xd) stated , you do NOT punch someone with the help of your shoulder! Only use the strength out of your arm, the effect is incredible!

@ramusling Systema is about hitting vunerable targets with natural powerful movements. For example punching the solar plexus. The punches are based on natural movements. I saw a video once that shows a man punching a pad on a steel pillar. The boxing punch only hit the pad and impacted it. He then used a systema punch and the energy and impact bypassed the pad and hit the steel pole. They fall because it reduces damage and simulates real life in getting hit. Hope this helps.

Systema punches are based on hitting the right points using only the strength of your arm (not the shoulder). A friend is teaching me this and it definitely works!

Well sure it is staged and they are simply practicing what they learned. The same is in karate or aikido. Nobody wants to have get seriously injured and they want to learn how to behave in situations very close to the regular street fight. I doubt that you can use everything from this marital art but still it looks very effective, no dancing around, no matrix-like kicks - simply brutal raw fight.. that's at least what I consider this fighting style is about.

What exactly are these punches based on? It looks a little staged to me.....opponent falling even before he hits the. Is it some internal energy or pressure points? Thanx for explanation.......
