The new Jag is a 21st century evolvement of 60s Mk2/XJ6. I appreciate its different, and contrasting upholstery piping adds class, but Jaguar must move on, and they have produced a car that is definitely not a German clone, thank goodness.

It comes down to cost. They have to be able to produce it on a budget to compete with similar class cars in the market place.. Concept cars push the boundaries!

The Lexus is cheap! It's a TOYota with a few gadget's installed (Note gadget's are Japanese so bound to go wrong). Great, I would LOVE a Lexus. NOT! I know Lexus is the number 1 luxury brand. It just proves that some americans are stupid when there is much better brands like Buick made in there country!

Where is your fact's? Buick an American Brand achieved no 1 in dependability along with Jaguar. Yes Japanese car's may be more "Reliable" same with German cars. But all these "Reliable" stuff comes with no soul. All Car's have problems get used to it.

funny you should say that! I finally saw one of these in person and....well it looks much better in this video than it does in real life. I don't remember the hood scoops or the rear pipes looking like they do either.for the price this car costs in Canada I can get a brand new Corvette Z06 or an AMG 63 and still have $25 000 left over.jaguar is now an East Indian car to, eh!ha ha ha ha. good luck, Jaguar
