as far as i can tell from actually reading the book he wanted to share the struggle and to show the world how hard it is to recover from such a dangerous injury that some people don't survive....... and showing people who have suffered or know someone who has suffered a brain injury, it helps to give them the extra strength to help make a difference..... if you haven't read this book it is absolutely amazing!!!!! i laughed and cried!!!! please read it if you haven't already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda doubt he could be 'made' to do anything he didn't want to but yeah, I see your point, I also doubt he's short of cash.

Like I said, I love Richard and everything he does, I even love the book. But it's not as if he's short of cash with all the TV stuff he's done over the years. I just feel that hes been made to publish this book as a cash cow.

For a while, pretty much, and then for a while he could remember the past (up to his accident) but only remember the last minute or so other than that, what he could remember of the present gradually improved over time.

The book is about his crash, but also, after what he and Mindy went through can you really blame him for wanting to make some money, if he wants to spend time with them but not compromise their standard of living he needs all the cash he can get. I for one not blame him at all, his hearts in the right places, he's trying to look after his wife and kids, that's what counts, good for him!

Richard always has been a fighter does anyone remember he punched a medic trying to save him

Thats because the book is about the crash, not about life before it.

I love Richard, and everything he does. But I can't help but feel he's been made to cash in a bit. There's not much in the book about his early life, or his working for Top Gear before the crash.

I know, he came through that crash without a scratch. He was really badly damaged just after the crash, but I can't believe he recovered like he has done.
