Yes, we hear that a lot :) But a thing to remember is that there are lots of dialects in Norway, (I'm pretty sure you have a lot in Sweden too). The "singing" Norwegian is what we call Østlandsk and that's not my dialect, my dialect is closer to Icelandic than any other dialect in Norway(I'm from the west coast).
