Nice speech Steve. Who wrote it for you? Did your speech writer also object to the "Respect the Constitution" signs? Did your speech writer understand the message or is your speech writer just another "knee jerk liberal"? I and a few hundred of my friends at the Conservative Society for Action will make sure to bring some sings by your office. So make sure your Democrat speech writer will be there to approve them.

As credible as we are right now from trying to make no regulation on wallstreet work, I would ask us how we plan on buying a snickers bar.

thats funny because when bush/republicans were in the white house everything peaked. but like anything else. for every high there is a low. the economy is no exception.

Fuunny how if you plot recessions/economic growth or stock market performance vs the party in the Whiite House, the party of business, the Republicans come in a distant second.

i found out on the news today that the chines asked Obama how he was planning on paying for this health care bill. funny that our biggest lender seems to know we can't afford it.

i also know that to blame "aggressive lenders" is a cop out. no one knows better then you if you can afford a house. if they couldn't set aside money every month to save for a down payment then they should have known they couldn't set aside money every month for a mortgage. its like feeling sorry for Jack for buying magic beans. when i was a kid. if some one was tricked out of there lunch money we laughed at them, they learned a lesson, and were better people because of it.

I'll admit that i don't know enough about what happened to say who exactly was at fault. but what i do know is the country goes into rescission every ten or so years. my dad tells me how he has live and prospered over about 6 recessions, just go to work every day and you will be fine.

NY state also has the tax the rich and tax the business idea. in the last year or two they have lost over 1million "rich" people because of it. taking there jobs and tax dollars with them. that just means, like CA they will have to raise taxes on the working class that you think is being victimized by the "rich"to replace the lost revenue which will be hard because of the jobs that left. but don't worry. the gov will redistribute wealth to fix the problems they created.

thats all fine. but sorry. it is taxation, fees, and over regulations. i live in CA. our state has one of the highest cost of doing business in the country. and in the last year or two we have been losing lots of business do to our over taxation, over regulations. they may not be leaving the country. but they are taking there jobs and tax dollars to other state. GEE. and CA happens to have the highest unemployment and the highest deficit in the country. but im sure its just a coincidence.

I only buy what I can afford. Most people do. Many that bought houses they couldn't afford were conned by aggressive lenders. Most Community Reinvestment Act loans did not default; percentage has been fairly steady for 20 years. Do you really think the largest economy in the world could be knocked out by some poor people's home loans? CDS, CDO, rating agencies, short-selling, etc, activities by the WEALTHY had far more impact and made bonuses for them.

Businesses are shipping the heart of the operations across the borders and it's not because of taxation.I don't have a lot of sympathy for people who break the laws and screw over the rest of the country. Too many capitalists privatize profits and socialize the costs and losses. I care exactly as much for them as they do for me. And there are more of me.

i don't know what you consider wealthy i make less then 100,000. but own a car and a home. put money in my savings every month. have a steady job with the best health care my state allows to operate. i have no debt other then my home but i can easily afford the monthly because i was smart to read the contract and make sure i could afford what i was buying unlike all those people who bought houses they couldn't afford to. i'd say im fortunate thanks to my own personal responsibility.

its the gov offering the amnesty. don't get made at the rich people. get made at the gov for offering amnesty. thats like saying you aren't paying your fair share because you except a refund when the gov offers it to you. the rich are still paying 90+% of the taxes. can you make up the lose or replace the jobs when a business leaves the country of goes under?

According to today's headlines, over 14,000 wealthy people are taking advantage of the amnesty offered by the IRS....so yeah, they aren't paying their fair share.

While it is very unfortunate that rally members would marginalize the tragedy of the holocaust with these signs, it is GROSSLY self-serving of Rep. Israel to cite the same distasteful signs in an attack on Bachmann. This kind of shallow misdirection is very typical in politics today.Israel must know that Bachmann had nothing to do with the signs, and making this public spectacle of the signs frankly has only brought more attention to them. Note his lack of response to the MESSAGE of the rally.
