The use of EGR is intended to reduce emissions, but the fuel has to be low S ppm.

gilessmokey (1 hour ago) cant tel exaclty too... i supose the "piezo" is related to the highvoltage peaks that run through that coil inside the injector that makes it open and spray the combustion chamber... meaning the high voltage actuates a little mechanical movement, enough to open the injector and allow the fuel to go where it is suposed to go.

hi update yourself. older diesels 15 to 20 years ago had a compression of around 22:1. your 32:1 is not accurate.

These modern engines in principal without going into too much detail are full of great ideas...but in reality are over complex. The gains in going down this design road are minimal and the unreliability issues are fiancially crippling on these vehicles' owners. Its time these manufacturers came back down to earth with their designs and may be they will begin selling cars again. The only sensible feature was the syncronous chain and gear.
