That's a fair argument, I'm just proposing an explanation. To be honest, it never really bothered me, and I have other things to concern myself with. ;) Plus, my favorite sport is hockey, and the NHL champion is the "Stanley Cup Champion." As far as the Japanese teams, Japan did win the World Baseball Classic when it was all Japanese players, but it's sort of the equivalent of the World Cup teams, the nations best players on the team. I'd guess the MLB rosters will beat a pro Japanese team.

Well the best players in the world including brazils and argentinas best also play in the European champions league in football yet we dont here them being crowned world champions. They are called what they are European champions. And as far as ive heard the japanese teams do very well when they play American teams.

You can argure however that as the best players in the world play in Major League Baseball, that the champion is the best baseball team in the world. You also have to figure that amount of foreign born players in the league. Latin America, Central America and the Islands, Japan, Taiwan, Canadians, etc. The league did have to Canadian teams as well, but the team in Montreal folded, still have Toronto though....
