Deehunter has changed his name back.LOL. Still loving on Zenyatta. She is now gone to stud. Are you going to be there too? RA is only going to get better. Someone said that she is 'bigger'. Is that possible?

Rachel is now in training and it looks like her first race will come in March or April.According to NOLA. com, Asmussen said that Rachel Alexandra "has broadened" since she was at Saratoga. "You can tell she's thickened up a bit through her neck, the top of her back, " he said.

DH that's just your opinion, though. Others disagree. And I don't see the point in comparing them. I don't want to see Zenyatta on dirt or Rachel on poly. I'd rather admire what they've both done, without knocking either of their achievements.

6deer--- I checked out all the times. Even Stardom Bound....This proves that synthetic tracks make some horses look special.

Flashing won another G1. The Gazelle. ---Didn't Rachel beat her by 31 lengths?--- I'd love to see a match race on dirt. Even if the race were 10 miles... Zen would never be in front of Rachel...NEVER.

Stardom Bound tried real dirt today. Looks like she's a plastic track specialist like Zen. Rachel would have beaten her by 50 lengths today!

rachel HOTY is getting dimmer and dimmer... macho again and bullsbay who were nowhere in the breeders...then in the grade 2 clark today...they both threw clunkers..summer bird is the only horse that rach beat worth mentioning...mine that bird was flash in the pan...

GpL - Zenyatta was scheduled to ship to Belmont Park to run in the Beldame Stakes had Rachel Alexandra showed up. All the arrangements had been made. But when it was decided after the Woodward to retire Rachel for the year that plan was scrapped and she ran in the Ladys Secret instead.Zenyatta would have eaten up Rachel in dirt or poly.

Zenyatta would eat Rachel on any surface dirt or poly or turf.

Bullsbay is nothing more than a grade 2 horse just like Macho Again. This Woodward is nothing more than a grade 2 race!!

What i'd really like to see is everyone stop comparing the two of them. I know right now that's impossible because both are in line for HOY, but I think that's even unfair. The only way to know who's better is to see them race each other, but even that is counterproductive. It would solve nothing to pit the two against each other; each are at their best when they are on their respective surfaces and to give either one a disadvantage would be to cheat them of the credit they've already earned.

DH I disagree. Watch Zenyatta at the top of the stretch in the BCC- she hit her normal workout gear, the speed at which she usually won her other races, partway through the homestretch when she still had five or six horses to pick off. She won convincingly but Mike Smith had to dig into her a bit.

GpL...imo it's the other way around...zenyattas second best race was on dirt in OP...her best race was at the hirsch...the classic was just another workout for her..she was still blowing by horses at the finish...and it wouldn't matter much if this race was on dirt...medaglia doro crops are racing well on turf/synth...just like how rachel raced well in keeneland..rachel's handlers know their chance in the breeders is not good and even worse against the mare...

There's 10 million waiting for Zenyatta at the new synthetic track at Dubai in March. If Moss doesn't go for it he's nuts. She could retire the richest horse in North American racing. She proved she's the best on poly. Moss cannot race her in the usual races anymore. She is now required to race the best and must travel to those tracks that feature the best, even her most ardent admirers must admit anything less is a sham.
