The rules of the road don't change just for a funeral procession. It baffles me that the dead should have right of way over the living... the cop was speeding, the SUV would have had time to clear the road for those abiding the law. The 'do as I say but not as I do' sentiment of all Police in the US is fundamentally corrupt -and a funeral procession is NOT an emergency. When I die I'll be cremated, that way I know I won't be inconveniancing those who have the pleasure of still being alive.

Hmmmm 60 40 to blame. I reckon cop is going too fast for the conditions. The Folk in the car saw her moving...why didn't he? He is passing a slow queue at speed with driveways on the left. and right. A car pulling out is highly likely. A cortege is still traffic and should not consider itself special. Other wise you will have another cortege a week later. Cops don't always know how to drive with care and consideration either.
