If you are using Adobe Phototoshop Elements, this is not for that program at all, but if it is the real Photoshop version 7, there's not too much difference and all the same tools are in that version, too!

Your methods are incredible and work, but I have to agree with greatbeartiling. How do you get a subject off a background with Multi-colors?Thank you for sharing :)

My picture is very similar to this.. I really want to cut her out and all her hair to place over new background, but, this method without her being on a green background is impossible.. if the background has various colours how can this be done? please help mama shan xx

Its shot on a green seamless background, but truly using a neutral gray or white background is better. It all depends on the background. I have other tutorials with different extraction methods for different backgrounds. If it is a busy background just use the pen tool.

I'm really having difficulty with this.. my background is not green, and extracting around hair is hard. How do you get the green screen to start with?

This is a great video but time is money I have found the fastest way to remove green is use photokey 2 and then you can add backgrounds in Photoshop of PK2the combination Rocks

thanks...iv never herd of the backround eraser, it was always one of those tools i never evn experimented with but it just saved me a ton of time...just a quick suggestion but i found using the complementary color of the background helped to make a huge contrast to see the areas i missed
