So I wrote a program that, based on the rules of music theory and counterpoint, writes music.Guess what bass line it randomly generates half the time?

if something works people use it. if it sounds good use it. your take that originality is an illusion is false because in order for something to be copied somebody must come with it in the first place which makes it THE ORIGINAL

When you think about every person in history and all of their thoughts, the odds are you have never had an original idea in your entire life. It's no wonder that all these songs fit to Canon in D. I'm sure countless other songs fit with it as well.In truth every piece of art or fiction that you look at, listen to, or read is most likely just a cocktail of everything that the composer of that piece has looked at, listened to, and read in his or her life...Originality is just an illusion...

Wow...The bass line to Canon is to music as Lady Gaga is to Z100. Overplayed and overused.

Hey, when you find something that works, use it! If people like those four chords, use the fuck out of them!

Not punk, pop punk. I takes the lack of talent from punk and mixes it with the whining of pop musicians.

Baroque is a style of classical music when the term "classical" is used as an umbrella term. Other than that it's just baroque music the period between renaissance and classical era music. After classical was the romantic era and so on and so on.

I just love how he gets vehement and almost insane, and that medley towards the end was really a stroke of genius. Big kudos to Mr. Paravonian for this small rant.

many song writers composed songs that had the CANON CHORDS because of he fact that is it was a very BEAUTIFUL song, which makes the song CHORDS................... OVERUSED....lol

Not exactly. It was written for 3 violins and continuo. Continuo is any bass instrument with a keyboard to fill out the harmony. It was expected back in Pachelbel's day that the continuo would improvise on the bass line and harmony.
